CT (Cat Scan)

CT is a type of body imaging that uses a narrow beam of X-ray to produce detailed images of the body. Our GE LightSpeed multi-detector CT produces some of the fastest and most detailed images available today.  Studies can be performed in seconds compared to minutes on the now obsolete single detector units. The data can be manipulated by powerful computers to produce new types of images not possible in the past, including 3-dimensional imaging, which greatly increases the diagnostic information from a single study. Some examinations require you to drink fluid which helps outline the bowel, others require an injection of dye, and some require both.
