Digital Mammography

Mammographic evaluations serve as a critical exam in the prevention of, and early detection of breast cancer.  In addition to breast-self-exams and regular exams by your physician, The American Cancer Society recommends a yearly mammogram starting at age 40, and sometimes sooner, depending on risk factors.

Mountainview Medical Imaging is the first to offer Full Field Digital Mammography in our area.  Computer Assisted Detection (CAD), an additional software system, provides, in essence, a “second look" and is routinely incorporated into every mammogram performed in this facility. Both of these technological advances provide greater sensitivity and accuracy with regard to the diagnosis of diseases of the breast in patients of all ages.
