High-Field & Open MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is considered one of the most advanced imaging techniques in medicine today.  MRI uses a magnetic field combined with specific frequency radio waves to produce very detailed pictures of many parts of the body, including the brain, spine, joints, muscles, and bones, as well as some organs in the abdomen.

At Mountainview, we offer both high-field MRI and open MRI. Our high-field scanner produces images with exquisite detail, and is the scanner of choice for many areas of the body. For large patients and those with claustrophobia, the unique design of our open scanner allows maximum comfort for people of all sizes, as the patient enters the unit from the side. This configuration works well for both adults and children, since a loved one can be present to lend a familiar and comforting hand, if needed.
